Dr. Mahmood Yousefi, Head of WHO-CC in National Public Health Management Center participated in the fourth meeting of the World Health Organization's collaborating centers held in Muscat
According to NPMC’s relations center, Dr. Yousefi participated in the fourth meeting of the WHO's collaborating centers in the Eastern Mediterranean Region held in Muscat, Oman on 9-10 January 2019.
The meeting was hosted by Dr. Mohammed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health of Oman. It was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmed bin Salim al Mandhari, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean as well as representatives of collaborating centers from EMR countries including advisers and experts, organizations related to the WHO, and the national health institutions.
In the meeting, the participants pointed out to their programs and activities regarding health concerns. They, also, stressed the significance of networking and cooperation among collaborating centers in the region.
Meanwhile, Dr. Yousefi had meetings with Dr. Gulin Gedik, Responsible Officer of NPMC on implementing its mandated work related to WHO, as well as representatives from other WHO collaborating centers.
