According to the public relations report of NPMC, the training course was attended by both learners from Afghanistan and Iran.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Jafar Hossein (representative of WHO in Iran), Dr. Mahmood Yousefi director of NPMC, Dr. Jannati, vice president of Development and Resources deputy of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the Chancellor of Iran University of Medical Sciences (virtually), and heads of faculties.
Dr. Mahmood Yousefi, director of NPMC, welcomed the guests and presented a report on several years of collaboration between NPMC and WHO, as well as the implementation of joint projects. He also discussed the goals, expectations, and anticipated results of the course.
Dr. Seyed Jafar Hossein expressed gratitude to the organizers of the course and emphasized the need for further joint cooperation, considering this workshop as a successful example of such collaborations. He also highlighted Iran's strong health system, particularly in primary health care and hospital management, suggesting that other countries could benefit from exchanging experiences with Iran.
Dr. Jannati, vice president of Development and Resources, emphasized the organization's duty to train capable health managers and transfer training and experiences to improve the health system.
The international course took place at NPMC over six days from October 28 to November 3, 2023 (1402/08/06 to 1402/08/12)
